MAY 2005
May 1st - Sunday afternoon at Ginza. Road is closed off and it becomes one large mall.
May 4th - Public holiday, part of Golden Week. Yoyogi park bike ride.
May 5th - Took a tramcar ride to a park and then onto a small amusement park.
Onto another park afterwards where there was some funny looking art, plus a flying fox and bike hire.
May 7th - Went to the National Science Museum where there was a special exhibition of Dinosaurs. The 2nd and 3rd photos are of 'Sue', the most complete T-Rex skeleton found, 90%. Aidan then got to make his own fossil.
Mammoth skeleton and some science experiments. Nic, Aidan, lo...loo...look out behind you.....
So Aidan, what is inside a giant nose?
May 8th - Aidan and a new friend watching out the front of the train.
May 21st - Picture of a restaurant Mark went to a few weeks ago with people from work. Doesn't look like much but is very quaint inside and has good food.
Asakasa - Annual festival where about 100 portable shrines are presented at the main shrine and carried around the streets with much dancing and chanting. The guys carrying the shrines where the original loin cloths as Nic can attest to.
Mural in the subway.
May 25th - Aidan's 5th birthday.
May 28th - Aidan's birthday party at the Lego Education Centre, followed by a short walk to a park where we had a pinata.
May 29th - Aidan showing off his new iPod. Met up at the Imperial Palace with Michael and Enrequetta Dalton who are on their way around the world, together with their friend who they were staying with.
Harajuku - look closely at the first photo, this bridge is where all the weirdo's hang out. There are people who look like punks and those that look like Little Bo Peep and then some who I can't describe. You should have seen the 2 guys dressed up as little bo peep's!!
Meiji Jingu shrine and a wedding going on there.
